Despite temperatures surpassing 90°F, work continued on the development of our new trail from the parking area to P&LE 518. The lower section was cleared, leveled, and reinforced with cribbing as needed. The top end of this trail is still an accessibility challenge. We’re considering stairs, but finding a way to relocate the trailhead may be a better option.
At completion, this trail will allow visitors to safely bypass the deteriorating main stairs.
We also began removing the fallen tree behind 565. We’ll have lot’s of fire wood from this one.
