Fixing Leaks and Exploring the Region
The shorter days and cooler temperatures of autumn are making it harder to complete our work at the little railroad in the woods. Even so, the work must go on. This week’s big task was fixing the leaky anti-freeze water hydrant. A missing o-ring was causing water to spray out the sides of the hydrant! With the help of my grandfather we replaced all of the o-rings and fixed the leak.
Autumn is a good time to enjoy the natural beauty of Caboose Falls, but it’s also a good time to explore the amazing attractions of Western Pennsylvania; places like the Stavich Bike Trail, The train display at the Underground Railroad Shoppe, and the animated Christmas display’s at Kraynak’s Garden Center.
