Humidity and sweltering heat clung to the air like a stifling blanket, making Independence Day at Caboose Falls anything but comfortable. By mid-afternoon, the extreme heat was replaced by rain… lots and lots of rain. Nonetheless, being with family to celebrate America’s birthday was a great way to spend the day.

Before the afternoon rain brought an end to our work day, Christian made big improvements to the new trail. With the use of a mattock and a landscaping rake, he groomed the entire trail edge and began leveling the tread. The new trail is shaping up quite nicely.
